Although we were fortunate to dodge a bullet here in southeast Florida from the path of Hurricane Dorian, the Northern Islands of the Bahamas suffered a devastating blow. I have traveled through many parts of the Bahamas to explore and photograph, and the Abaco Islands are one of my favorites. As I look at my images from the past two years of the crystal-clear waters of the Island beaches throughout the Abaco Islands, I can’t even imagine what they must look like now. It is heartbreaking to see the destruction that was left behind in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. I, like many people who have traveled to the Abacos, hope to someday visit these Islands again, seeing them thriving and beautiful. It is going to take a massive amount of effort for the Abaco Island communities to recover from this disaster and I want to make sure I do my part in giving back.
I have put together a five pack of greeting cards with my favorite images taken in the Abaco Islands in the last two years. For the month of September and October, I will be donating 100% of proceeds on the sale of these cards to the Hurricane Relief for Elbow Cay – Hope Town Relief.
